Wow!  What a week last week!  I so enjoy spending time with all of the directors.  Numerous times last week, I was thanked for my time.  And while I appreciate that, MY TIME is nothing compared to the time and dedication that ALL of you put into serving our seniors.  So, I want to thank YOU!!!  Thanks for your support of me and what I do, thanks for your hard-work, thanks for your time, thanks for your dedication.  As we grow our association, our ability to help our seniors will grow.  Best wishes to you all..............

Jefferson County Council on Aging has a new Director, beginning February 4, 2008. Shawnna Molina grew up in Washington State in the small inland northwest town of Chewelah. She graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management. After graduation, she went oversees to Germany and began working for the military as a youth director. When the war began, that job ended and she then began working for the Army in Germany as the Assistant Director of Fitness and Recreation. Here, she met her husband and followed him to Virginia. She started working for Senior Adult Programs in Resdin VA. They moved to Jefferson County 2 years ago to raise their child, who is now 13. 

 

 

Let's make her feel welcome!!

Welcome to the West Virginia Directors of Senior and Community Services Website, Blog and Forum.  Changes will be occuring frequently.  We plan on using this website as a tool to reach out to our Senior Center Directors and to provide information for our seniors.

 

The Forum will be a great tool to ask questions and respond to other Directors.  You will need to create a sign in name, etc and then you can begin talking.

 

I hope you enjoy.  We are asking for pictures, ideas, etc.  This is for you!!  Let's use it to its fullest potential.
